Food Discussion & Information / Re: anyone tried this food???
« on: January 04, 2010, 11:26:09 am »
I haven't tried it, but good luck -let us know how it turns out. I'm very happy with the food my saint has been on and can't see myself switching him, unless something extreme happens.

Ewwww! having that said, I think we've all been there :D Back at the beginning of spring, Lucca has just turned one year old, I was walking him in this huge park with my brand spanking new boyfriend (we had been dating for about a week), and suddenly Lucca picked up a dead squirrel... only that this one had been dead for a while! it was flat and totally gross and rubbery >__< Thanks goodness I actually had a drool rag with me that time! because I might have just let him eat it otherwise... So we both (2 adults) wrestled this 100+ lb puppy to get him to let go of the gross dead squirrel -which he just would not do! so I had to pry his mouth open and pull the thing out (using the drool rag!) by force! and it took us like half an hour!! ugh. gross.. I can't believe he didn't get worms from that :P

I agree. Although random episodes of reversion are perfectly normal, this sounds more like actual incontinence -rather than just a lapse in potty training... a visit to the vet is definitely a good call. Good luck with everything. Let us know how it turns out! -we're sending you good, healthy vibes!

I know what you mean! that wonderful time of year is upon us again! I am having terrible allergies -because apparently I am only allergic to my big dog when he's shedding like there's not tomorrow... to think we have to do this twice a year!

Personally, since I live alone and my bathroom is teeny tiny, I've just decided to give up on attempting to bathe Lucca myself... instead, in about a month's time when he's due for one again, I'm taking him to a groomer to have a bath... let them deal with it!

Well, both you and little Repo look great! He's HUGE!

when I was in college, I used to dye my hair that color! or at least similar... and only the bottom layer, on the back, so I could hide it if it was ever necessary -I was on a scholarship, so sometimes I had to go to fancy functions to kiss @ss and thank the monetary support (which I loved because I would never mind a free fancy dinner!). Now I feel too old to dye my hair like that again :P

They grow so fast! Happy Birthday, Tucker! <3 :D

Saint Bernard Pictures / Lucca at City Park -Denver, CO
« on: February 28, 2009, 03:10:42 pm »
Just a few of pictures, because Lucca and Frida went for a longish walk at city park, which we very rarely visit because it includes a few lakes and that means goose poop, and dogs love to eat goose poop, so yeah... But I thought maybe Lucca would be grown-up enough to understand how much I disapprove...
Turns out, Lucca just doesn't eat poop... Frida, however, has always been a different story and I have to keep an eye on her! But now I can't wait for summer! Lucca wanted to go in the water so much, but I didn't let him because it's still very cold! but once it gets warmer, it'll be so much fun :D

on his bed waiting for me to figure out what to bring... I just liked this picture, crappiness and all

sometimes, he looks almost like a responsible grown-up ^__^

the hardest part of photographing Lucca is that as soon as he realizes I'm sitting/kneeling on the ground, he wants to sit no my lap and cuddle, so I keep getting blurry pictures of a turning/running puppy!

reflection of yours truly and the dogs while waiting for the light to let us cross the street :) I like crappy pictures like this -I don't know why!

AND some Olive wearing his e-collar!

oh God! adorable! but even more, you are amazing, rescuing at least one -that's one more that will surely make it :) and from such unfortunate circumstances. ...

agh, this is not helping with my recent puppy fever!

**oh! I guess there's two of them! that's double adorable!!
