Since I will be having a baby in August.  I initially thought I better start getting the dogs to stay off the bed now.  Well that lasted about a week as you can below.  I guess the baby will just have to stay off the bed.

Rocco sleeps in the bed with me everynight, he lays still on his back on his side.  Maia only occassionally gets to sleep with us at night because she lays all over me and gets up and down all night.  She sleeps in her cage in the basement most nights.  I know it is not fair but it works for us.  I just found out I am pregnant so I think I will be using the leash to the bed post idea to get Rocco off the bed.   

Just do what works for you and what makes you feel the most comfortable.

Rocco digs my floor and carpet in the kitchen before he lays down, he has yet to do damage.  When I hear him do it I just yell "no" and he stops and lays down.  I crate my guys in the basement during the day so I don't know if he would do it when I am not there.  I think it is just one of those quirks that some dogs will have.  I agree with giving her plenty of stuff to do.

My dogs will chew on a raw bone for hours for days straight if I let them.

Rocco loved Doggy Daycare in Cincinnati, though by late afternoon he would have to seperated because he would get cranky.  After a day at daycare, he would then sleep for two days straight.  Maia never got to since she quite the snob and is very particular on who she will play with and who she will not like.

I love the idea that they can have their own area to play in, that makes that place a great asset to have around.

When Rocco and Maia get obnoxious now a days, i just leash them up and take them for a swift 20 minute walk, just getting out of the house, all the smells, and the little bit of exercise will wear them out.

Those are great pictures.

The place I used to volunteer in Cincinnati had one of those and Rocco loved it, though he would do it wrong.  He would run up one side then jump off the side and do it again.  Luckily he never got hurt but he thought it was the best.  He never made it up one side and down the other without taking a flying leap off.
