My husband would love that photo at twin lakes with the reflection in the water.  What a beautiful place.  I would die to fish there.

Kildeskennel, I never heard of clocking your working time to be a therapy dog.  Maybe different areas have different rules or are run by different organizations.  Maybe they are state laws? I have not been told of any other requirements here before the test and I am sure they would have told me.  We are excited and I will be sure to post photos when we get back.  Thanks for all your support.

I think kids and all people would love Bear, he is very personable and a big, big hit.  I can't wait now to get the chapter rolling.  Niki puts on a great show too and always draws a crowd.  And then with Angus and Cody coming round the bend hmmmm the possibilities are endless.   ::)

I bet that picking your new pup will be very hard.  It is not easy to find a dog that will eventually work out.  It will also be a lot of work each and every day for you, so I really tip my hat to you and wish you all the luck in the world.

Another thought, lots of feed stores carry antibiotics like Terymiacin (sp) for a very reasonable price and they could help you get the right medicine for your dog if you cannot afford a vet, their advice price is on the money (free) and a lot of them are very knowledgable.  A big prayer for your puppy.

Wow great shots, great looking boys.  Where in the world do you live where you get those black ugly, soggy bogs? Oh Brother Where Art Thou is truly one of my favorite of all time movies.  I still play the soundtrack even on my computer over and over.  Thanks for sharing

Hi, I will be different, having a glass of good California Red Wine, Merlot to be exact.  Tomorrow morning we leave for the first leg of our Fall vacation, destination, St. George, Utah, visit amongst other things, Zion National Forest.  Gotta bring my own booze because its Utah.  Makes me feel soooo bad that I cannot bring Nikita  :'( she would have so much fun.  Niki, so good to have you back - when I return, I will open a big bottle of my favorite - Ameretto mmmmmmmmmmmmmm m.  If you need help with adjusting to Fresno, give me a call.

Thanks DakotaMOM I really like the looks of that new collar compared to the horrible cone that knocks everybody senseless including the dog.  That is a good invention and I will bet we see more of it if it works.

Wow, I sat down tonight and thought about your problem a little bit and it reminds me of a rescue I had several years ago. She was a big, lanky yellow lab who came to me and just refused to eat anything I put in front of her.  She was very skinny and her ribs were even showing.  I talked to the vet and he told me not to fret that if she got hungry enough, she would eat.  She even had red ears like your dog but that turned out to be mites and after a lot of medication, we got it under control.  Anyway, the vet was right, after a long period of time, she finally came around and started eating better.  You say your dog likes people food and that indicates he is healthy, just being picky and stubborn. I have found that they do this too if there is drama in their lives or perhaps a big change.  (aren't we the same as humans)  I cannot believe that any dog is stupid enough to starve himself to death.  That is a ridiculous thing for anybody to tell you. I thought the same thing about the rescue I had but the vet was right. My  rescue dog was not very intelligent but loving and she ended up belonging to some teenagers who love her to death and let her sleep in bed with her every night.  It took a lot of patience but it paid off.  You will probably find the same thing out, just chill out like I learned to.  Sometimes it takes time.

Wow, he is very pretty and has great markings but does look a little on the thin side.  Sometimes the heat of the summer can do that, especially if he is very active.  I would cut back on his activity in the summer, then give him canned mixed with dry for awhile until he picks up on weight, whatever brands you feel best.  When the weather cools down a bit and he doesn't pick up on weight, then take him back to the vet of your choice - looks like you need to change. Just a few of my thoughts from the photo.

So glad you got help for Zoe.  I love all the berny photos.  I am still looking for a new dog after my 18 yr. old died and I love a berny or a berny mix, however, I read that they do not adapt to heat very well.  We live in a desert type climate and our summers are hot!!! Do they adapt to that or not?
