Treatment & Preventative Meds / Is aspirin OK to give dogs?

Our Fila, Sissy, hurt her shoulder yesterday and it was swollen and she was in pain. I thought I had heard that it was OK to give them an aspirin, but I just wanted to make sure before I did anything? Any ideas?

Great Dane Discussions / Has anyone else had this problem?

Our Great Dane, Apollo, is 18 months old and HIGH energy. He has destroyed our furniture while we're at work. Is this normal for a great dane kid? Our mastiff tore up paper and things when he was a kid, but not the furniture. Has anyone else had this problem or are we just lucky?

I just found this great site! My husband and I have a Fila, Sissy, an English Mastiff, Hercules and a Great Dane, Apollo. We have a house full! Thankfully, Apollo sleeps on the couch!

I tell everyone that they haven't lived until they've been awakened by a kiss from a mastiff or great dane!

We are actually fostering Apollo, but will probably adopt him. He seems too happy to uproot right now. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
