i happen to have a depressed borken-boyriend that drives me crazy.  he broke his foot 2 years ago. walking across a street in the dark he got run over.  anyhow, he has been in and out of casts, had surgery once already, and needs it again in january.  The worst part is that it is his clutch foot, and we both drive manual transmission cars... so no driving for 2 months after surgery.. at least. This makes working nearly impossible for him, so, he is home all day too.

This is how he keeps busy... he does chores!  it is great.  he is also about to take online courses to work towards his degree at a local community college.  Oh, and lots of vidio games and books.

The ideas might not work for your hubbie, but at least you know you aren't alone in this situation!!!

it is really nice to hear he is home, and i am sure it will make his recovery much more pleasent.  Shakes hated when he had to stay at the hospital for his foot infection.  Hopefully he will at least rebound enough to get cleaned up a bit.  Shakes didn't have the same problem, but with his bandages, he couldn't go near water for a couple months.  He became one stinky dog!

how cute.  really makes me wish i could get another doggie.  i think shakes could use a friend, but financially, and according to the land lady, it just isn't an option.  Hopefully when i move sometime next year the situation will be better!

my suggestion is to include your name, but in a fassion that won't imediatley be discolsed, like a card, in an envelope.  That way the person doesn't find out untill the chat, but if they can't make it then they won't be left in the dark.

I buy the refills that go in the plastic barrel thing. I always keep one or two in my pocket or billfold, and a bunch in my car. I've given them to people at obedience class who didnt have anything to use. They're pretty cheap, and big enough to clean up the job that my dogs leave behind!

i use these too, and i have the little carrier that attaches to the leash.  it was given to me free at a doggie event by a group called bags on board.  it is very convenient.

We allso jsut carry the refills ones around with us.

i wonder if they are biodegradable?

i totally just saw this for the first time, so i totally appologize to my SS for the lack of info!

Shakespeare is 9 months.
He particularly likes browns and blacks to mathch his brindle...
Hir favorite treates are mother hubbard peanut butter bones.
He likes toys that are REALLY REALLY hard to destroy because all he does is chew chew chew.
And Shakespeare like me does not divulge what he wants because he likes surprises!

Sorry again!

You're Comet! You zoom around, and when you're not delivering presents, you like to visit outer space.

Yay what fun!
