Megan,
Last year my daughter's good friend lost her husband in a similar gun accident. She and all her friends were devastated. When you are young it is easy to feel like you are invincable and will live forever and then something happens that justs slaps you in the face with reality.  The bigger tragedy would be if all of her friends didn't learn a lesson from this and it sounds like you have.  The boyfriend can't do anything to that boy that would be worse than how he must feel. He will have to live with that the rest of his life. My thoughts and prayers are  with you and your friends. You are doing the right thing by talking, keep talking and encourage your friends to do the same, God Bless..

We had ours on Saturday. I put Rocky on a long leash and tied him to the porch. My hubby sat with us and when the kids would come he would hold onto Rocky's collar and we kept praising him for being such a good boy!! He never showed any aggression at all. I want to train him as a therapy dog so we try to allow him as much socialization as possible and he did great!!!

We had a beautiful day Saturday for Trick-or-Treating. I dressed Rocky up as "Knute Rocky" (Yuk,yuk!) The pants wouldn't stay on but he loved wearing the shirt! :D We sat on the porch and he was sooooooooooo good with the kids!! Even when they would run into the yard or reach out to him quickly, he never growled or even barked!!! He loved the attention and he looked so handsome in his football jersey!! ;D

Woke up to slush and snow on my car. >:( It was slushy raining all day. It chills you to the bone and you can't get warm!! I'll take the 80's any day!!!!

Rocky had a staph infection that was pretty stubborn. He was on Keflex for 3 weeks and it finally went away.  It looked like what you are describing.  Good luck!

I was so jealous that so many of you have dog parks in your area that I google searched and found one in my area! ;D We took Rocky and my daughters dogs, Princess Leiah (Rocky's  sister) and Kuma her Akita to the park yesterday. They had a ball! The parents(us) were nervous at first but once we got over that it was a great day. True to his Pyr nature, Rocky had a huge burst of energy then found the best spot to lounge!

Blair,  The pic of Skyla sleeping on Zeus should be a poster against BSL!!! You better watch out, he looks like he may eat her!LOL!!! 
The little paw is my cairn terrier that has made an art of lounging, he can't wait for the furnace to be turned on so he can snug up and lounge all day! ;D
